DRAKE VS TREY SONG??

Both!?!

Let Us Know¬

:-)

Aquaman: “Eminem Needs To Keep My Name Out His Mouth”

Smallville, KY- Controversial rapper, Eminem, has set off waves throughout the superhero world with the release his new album, Recovery.

On the song entitled “Cold Wind Blows”, Eminem takes a shot at the resident King of Atlantis by suggesting “I’ll be nicer to woman/When Aquaman drowns…”. The line is of one of many referenced directly at superheroes ranging from Spider Man, Ghost Rider to Bruce Banner on the Recovery album.

“He needs to keep my name out of his mouth” says Aquaman from his home in Atlantis. “It’s easy saying what he said up there” says Aqua from his throne 10,000 feet beneath the Atlantic Ocean. “But try that s**t down here.”

News of the dis came as Aquaman is in the midst of dealing with the oil spill crises in the Gulf of Mexico. The half man/half amphibian member of the Justice League goes further suggesting he would not refrain from using his powers on Eminem if they were to run into each other. “I’d likely smack the s**t out him with my hand, if I had one.” says Aqua in reference to his missing left hand which some say is made of water and possess mystical abilities.

The barbs are the latest in series of headaches for the 40-something year old member of the Justice League. The recent BP oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico as well a pending divorce have found Aquaman going through a rough patch that has many questioning his ability to perform his duties as reigning king of the 7 seas.

“I avoid dealing with you humans as much as possible in hopes that you let me and my people live in peace, but this is disrespectful.”

Aquaman (Real name: Arthur Curry), who’s powers include telepathy, a healing factor, enhanced senses, super strength and extreme durability says he has other things to worry about other than Eminem.

“I’ve got living room filled with petroleum oil and couple of sick dolphins in the infirmary. My wife wants half my kingdom and those geniuses at BP have no idea what the ***k they’re doing. I don’t need this right now.”

A reputed comic book collector, Eminem was once rumored to be under consideration for Teen Titans initiative, but failed to pass the necessary requirements needed for government approval, which included a sobriety test. Those in the know feel his attacks on known superheroes is a bitter reaction to his past attempts at becoming a superhero, which includes a brief forays as Robin and Superman.

“My son listens to this rap stuff says AquaMan. “I don’t need him to get any ideas off some druggy rapper with a checkered past.”

Also referenced on the song is Johnny Storm of the Fantastic Four, who seems less apprehensive regarding his mention on Recovery.

“I mean, it’s Eminem dude. What do you expect? It’s nothing to lose your chill over. I mean, the fact he mentioned me is awesome. I think Aq’ is overreacting if you ask me.”

“No one asked him, or cares what he has to say.” says Aqua in response to Storm’s comments. “Torch needs to worry about his s****y movies and keeping his family together before he can comment on my well being.”

“Hot headed as Ghost Rider, cold hearted as Spider-Man throwin’ a spider in the snow.” – “On Fire” ; Eminem

Hood Newz attempts to reach the aforementioned heroes were met with no comment by their respective camps.

Recovery is in stores June 22 and is available on ITunes now.

Here’s to hoping Aqua doesn’t end up here

Foxy Brown VS Nicki Minaj VS Lil Kim : The Battle Of The Queens Of Hip - Hop.

The Battle Of The Queens Of Hip - Hop By Mimi Matsumoto.

Foxy Brown, Lil Kim and Nicki Minaj are beefing and a battle is imminent! Well, not exactly. Lil Kim and Foxy Brown both emerged in the 90’s and were deemed the crème of their respective crops at that time, but in 2010, they both seemingly have grievances with the new kid, Nicki Minaj. Nicki has been compared to both of her predecessors at some point in time, but more recently she has been able to establish herself in her own right. She’s got millions of minions as proof.

While it is highly unlikely, we decided to stage a fake battle between the ladies by citing specific moments in each’s career. Check it and judge for yourself right here at theswagbird.blogspot.com Who would win a battle between Lil Kim, Nicki Minaj and Foxy Brown?

THEIR GULLIEST MOMENT

Puff Daddy, Lil’ Kim, B.I.G. and the LOX – “All About The Benjamins”

Kim killed the track, destroying it so much that they gave Biggie a totally new beat to spit over.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Foxy Brown (With LL Prodigy, Keith Murray, LL Cool J, Fat Joe) : “I Shot Ya?”

This is a classic posse cut anchored by Mr. Smith (LL Cool J), but right before the anchor came the co-anchor – Foxy Brown. In a setting like this, a female rapper could have gotten eaten like a Twinky, but not Fox. She literally bodied it with hardcore, calm and believable lyrics. Flow!

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Nicki Minaj: BET Hip-Hop Awards – “Da Rap Cypher”

This was important for Nicki, because it was the first time she was seen in a hardcore freestyle scene on a wide scale. Also, Da Cypher was crazy with lyricists like Joe Budden, Buckshot and others and Nicki shined bright.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

THE HITS!

Lil Kim has her share of hit records, but “No Time” is the chosen song, where she stood alone. Kim also exemplified the ill hood couture that would go on to be used by those in and outside of Hip-Hop.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Foxy’s first album hit the 3 million mark and part if it was due to the singles “I’ll Be” (featuring Jay-Z) and "Get Me Home" (featuring Blackstreet). Here they are.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Nicki doesn’t really have an album out, but she’s recently released “Massive Attack,” which has gotten mixed reviews. Fans love it and people on the fringes are iffy. A zillion hits on youtube speaks volumes.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

THE “MEN” IN THEIR LIFE

Nicki’s got Drake, Lil Wayne and the whole Young Money as the support group.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Here is an old video from Nicki and Weezy “Higher Than A Kite.”

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Now Foxy has had the privilege of being linked to two of the long-running kings of rap, Jay-Z and Nas. Don’t forget AZ.

Here is “Affirmative Action” with Nas and the Firm.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Here is Foxy with CNN on “Bang Bang,” where Foxy dissed both Lil Kim and Diddy. Quite a bit of drama came out as a result of this era and Kim ultimately did time in jail.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Lil Kim had the big man himself – Notorious B.I.G. They, along with Junior M.A.F.I.A. created the hit record “Get Money.”

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Kim and Biggie played like they hated each other, but they loved each other…exemplified by this song, “Another.”

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

THEIR LOOKS!

All these ladies look great and serve as some real sugary eye candy. Enjoy!

Lil Wayne's Writes His Fourth Letter To His Fans

Dwayne Michael Carter, Jr. (born September 27, 1982) in New Orleans,Louisiana alias Lil Wayne., Weezy F. Baby

Recently Weezy F. Baby updated us on his life behind bars in Riker's Island. While we're enjoying the summer sun and diving into pools, Lil Wayne is painstakingly boring us with his routine. Imagine doing only the same 3 or 4 things every day? Sheesh!

If you want to write him a little somethin'-somethin', take down this address and hand-write him something special.

Eric M. Taylor Center (EMTC)
Dwayne Carter NYSID# 02616544L
10-10 Hazen Street
East Elmhurst, NY 11370

Here's the letter:
Hello world… I’m good. Counting the days and still smiling. Most of those smiles come from hearing my kids’ voices over the phone. The others come from reading fan mail. Let me just say that I have the best fans in the world! The devotion, dedication, support, love, and most of all, prayers are simply the best. I never imagined that I could have such an impact on people’s lives. Because of this, I vow to be a bit more careful of what I say.

So I’ve been writing and let me be the first to tell you that the lyrics that I’m writing are… well there’s no word that I can think of that properly defines them. Amazing would be too typical and perfect would be unfair. I listen to the radio sometimes, emphasis on sometimes, and I hear the new music. I like some. I applaud my Young Money family for what they’re doing. As I’m not surprised. This is what we’re supposed to do. Congrats to Drake and Nicki for all their recent success. Those 2 are going to have me retiring early. I love my team. Much love to Tez and Mack. I know that people are inquisitive of what I do all day, so here goes. I wake up around 11AM. Have some coffee. Call my kids, and my wonderful mother. I then shower up. Read fan mail. Have lunch. Back on the phone. Read a book or write some thoughts down. Have dinner. Phone. Pushups. Then I listen to ESPN on the radio. Read the bible, then sleep. That’s my day.

I’ll end this letter, but never my love. I’m gone. Oh, and how ‘bout dem Lakers!?!

P.S. I thank my fans for appreciating me the way you do.

Tunechi.

TWITTER BEEF: Christina Milian Goes Off On FunkMaster Flex

Oh how we love Twitter for allowing us to tap into celebrity life, beef, and emotions. FunkMaster Flex decided to joke a little too much and go a little too far on twitter and C.Milian put him in check! FunkMaster Flex insensitively said “Christina Milian is finished out here..Dream just wrapped you up….”

Christina wasn’t having it though– look at her reply:

Here’s FunkMaster Flex’s apology:

Really Mr. Flex, you were joking?

Eminem's 'No Love' Voted His Best Collaboration

Despite an incredible surge in downloads and airplay, Eminem's "Love the Way You Lie" was not able to topple Katy Perry's "California Gurls" from its perch atop the Billboard Hot 100. Slim Shady and collaborator Rihanna will have to settle for another week in second place. Recovery remains the top album in the country by leaps and bounds, and with no high-profile albums dropping this week, Eminem is sure to remain at the top of the chart for at least another seven days, further extending his incredible run this summer.

If Mr. Mathers wants to keep the momentum going, perhaps he should release "No Love" his team-up with Lil Wayne from Recovery, as his next single, as the SWAGBIRD Newsroom blog readers have declared it his greatest collaboration. "No Love" took the top spot easily with nearly 42 percent of the vote. The songs behind it shook out in a fascinating fashion, as The Eminem Show's "'Till I Collapse" (a tag-team with Nate Dogg) came in second with 25 percent. "Guilty Conscience" came in third with 12 percent, while "B---- Please II" finished just behind it with nine percent. "Crack a Bottle," "Bad Meets Evil" and "Never Enough" brought up the rear.

As some of the commenters noted, most of Eminem's best collaborations aren't actually located on any of his albums ("Renegade," from Jay-Z's The Blueprint, and "Dead Wrong," from the Notorious B.I.G.'s Born Again, were both brought up), but for the sake of simplicity, the poll was limited to tracks that came from one of Em's six full-lengths. But if the doors were blown open, we'd have to nominate "Go to Sleep" (which he shares with DMX and Obie Trice on the soundtrack to the film "Cradle 2 the Grave"), "What's the Difference?" (from Dr. Dre's 2001), Akon's "Smack That" and the remix to "Forever" that features Drake, Em, Lil Wayne and Kanye West.

What are some of your other favorite Eminem collaborations? Let us know in the comments!

Where Is Amy Winehouse?

It's a little hard to believe, but a full four years has elapsed since Amy Winehouse briefly took over the music community and turned the whole business on its ear with her sophomore album Back to Black. Since then, she has had a handful of highs and a big bushel's worth of lows. After running into legal trouble, health problems and the strangeness that is her personal life, it's possible that one of the most distinct voices in pop music will be back around soon. While at a film premiere, Winhouse told a London newspaper that her new album would be out by early next year. The album will be six months at the most," she told London's Metro. "It's going to be very much the same as my second album, where there's a lot of jukebox stuff and the songs that are ... just jukebox, really."

Though it seems like it has been forever since we last embraced her (four years between albums is two lifetimes in modern pop music terms), Winehouse is only two years removed from what was the biggest night of her life. At the 2008 Grammy Awards, she took home a total of five prizes: Record of the Year (for "Rehab," which she shared with producer Mark Ronson), Song of the Year ("Rehab"), Best Female Pop Vocal Performance ("Rehab"), Best Pop Vocal Album (for Back to Black) and Best New Artist. (In a development that still has people scratching their heads, Album of the Year did not go to Back to Black but rather to Herbie Hancock's River: The Joni Letters, a collection of jazz interpretations of Joni Mitchell songs.)

Winehouse not only won five awards but also provided the night's most impressive performances, as she delivered "Rehab" and "You Know I'm No Good" live via satellite from London.

After the Grammys, things spiraled downward into a cycle of health issues, arrests, court appearances and the issues surrounding former husband Blake Fielder-Civil. But there's no reason to think that she can't call it a comeback and get back on top of the pop world like she was on that one great night in 2008.

Do you think Amy Winehouse can make a successful comeback? Let us know in the comments!

Drake And Chris Brown Hit The Studio Together.

With T-Pain keeping a relatively low profile and Lil Wayne midway through his year long incarceration, Drake has stepped up over the past year as the king of collabos: He's dropped bars on records by everyone from Jay-Z and Timbaland to Mary J. Blige and Trey Songz. The Toronto MC shows no signs of slowing down either, as the star recently disclosed that he's been "studio hopping" and even jumped in the lab with Chris Brown.

"Tonight, I've just been in the studio. I was actually in the studio with Chris Brown for a little bit," Drake told "Extra" on Tuesday. Fresh off of a big night for both stars at Sunday's 2010 BET Awards, it appears Drizzy and Breezy were not content to bask in the buzz and headed straight for the studio shortly after.

Drake
didn't mention what, if anything, he and Breezy were cooking up but he did say that he went on the hunt for other possible collaborations. "Then I was studio hopping, seeing where I could lend my hand to whoever's project since I've done mine."

The studio session is not the first time that Drizzy and Breezy have crossed paths. Brown's ex Rihanna was once rumored to have rebounded with Drake following the pop couple's highly publicized split; a report that Brown once addressed in song and that Drizzy denied was true. However, Brown and Drake have also publicly appeared cool with each other, with Breezy showing up to Drake's Thank Me Later listening event earlier this year and briefly filling in for Drizzy during a 2009 Young Money tour date in Virginia.

What do you think a Drake/ Chris Brown collaboration might sound like? Let us know in the comments below!
