Ruf’s Legendary CTR Yellowbird Gets A 2012 Test Drive Alongside the CTR 3

The classic CTR Yellowbird from German Porsche manufacturers RUF recently went under the microscope of esteemed automobile magazine Car and Driver. Improving the performances of much of the already competent Porsche offerings since 1939, the 1987 CTR Yellowbird represented a massive benchmark in the automotive world upon its release. A twin-turbocharged 3.4-liter engine boasting a conservatively reported 469 horsepower and 408 lbs-ft of torque propelled the 2,600 lbs car to 0-60 mph times of 3.7 seconds and a top speed north of 210 mph. Jethro Bovington is featured in this video speaking on iconic Yellowbird as well as its contemporary update, the CTR 3 which makes an appearance on the German Autobahn.

Muhammad Ali for Louis Vuitton “Core Values” Campaign

Professional boxing icon and social activist Muhammad Ali has stepped up to endorse a brand new campaign from high fashion giant Louis Vuitton titled, “Core Values.” In the effort of depicting an outstanding personality while reflecting on the idea of transmission from one generation to the next, a captivating portrait is presented featuring The People’s Champion and one of his grandsons. Ali’s Arizona home is the setting for this exemplary pairing between himself and the fashion house; included is a tag-line stating “Some stars show you the way. Muhammad Ali and a rising star.” Further adding to the uniqueness and prestige of the campaign, photography was done by Annie Leibovitz.

Nigel Sylvester - Bun B's "Ode To 14" Gumball 3000 - Get Sylvester

The ongoing web series Get Sylvester sees the BMX pro loading up his bike into a tricked out Suburban as he embarks on the storied Gumball 3000 Rally that sees participants traveling from New York City to Los Angeles — with stops in Indianapolis, St. Louis, Toronto and Detroit along the way. Known for the tiresome journey, run-ins with the boys in blue and the party hard mentality, it’s equally hard to convey the experience as it is to capture it on film. Who better to narrate the journey than Bun B, whose “Ode to 14″ encapsulates the journey so eloquently; mixing dashes of play-by-play rundown with his signature rhyming wit.
