Chris N Teeb Talk Working with 50 Cent

First off, we want to thank all of you for all positive feedback on the song “Complicated” from his most current release The Lost Tape hosted by DJ Drama. There are a few clips in this video showing the different elements that we used to make the beat. A lot of people don’t know that we actually have a few other things that we have done with 50! We co-produced the second single from his last album Before I Self Destruct called “Do You Think About Me” with the legendary Rockwilder – (Method man & Redman, Christina Augulara, P!NK, Jay-Z). We also have music credits in the movie All Things Fall Apart starring 50 cent, Mario Van Peebles, Ray Liotta & Lynn Whitfield. This is the movie where he lost over 60 lbs to play a cancer patient. We are just giving insight on how our working relationship started with 50.

50 CENT "THINGS FALL APART"

Has 50 Cent Curtis Jackson thrown in the towel on making music? It's a possibility now that he has focused more of his attention on the film industry. Through his production company Cheetah Vision, launched in 2009 with partner Randall Emmitt, Jackson will star in the film Things Fall Apart under the directorial vision of Mario Van Peebles.

The film's plot is nothing extraordinary as the film centers around a star football running back, played by Jackson, who faces a personal tragedy as well as his own mortality while in his senior year in college. The film will also star Mario Van Peebles, Lynn Whitfield, comedian Mike P and Steve Eastin.

Running backs in football are slim and lean athletes, so expect to see a trimmer Curtis some time this year. It's rumored that he's aiming to drop 65 pounds for the film.

This new venture might not be so bad after all since Cheetah Vision plans to co-finance and self-finance three to five films a year. The company recently wrapped up production on The Gun starring Val Kilmer, AnnaLynne McCord and Jackson in Michigan.

Why the change in industries? Curtis explains, "You have 90 minutes and 120 pages, compared with three minutes for a song. I've become very passionate about making films."

When it comes to Box Office sales, "Men lie. Women lie. Numbers don't." As long as 50 understands that, his new fondness for the film industry will probably be interesting prospect to watch unfold.
